Auto Top-Up

Auto Top-Up enables you to set a reoccurring payment to your account that aligns with your pay in order to reduce your monthly broadband bill.

Your payment can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly for the amount you choose.

All payments should be setup to be made in advance to the bill date you want to cover.

I.e – 24th is the bill date. From the 25th onward, setup weekly/fortnightly payments for the next upcoming bill date on a timely basis.

From the 25th onward, you will have 3-4 weekly payments you can set up to cover the bill for the 24th of the upcoming month.

For example:

24/04 is the bill date.

So starting from the 27th, setup auto top-up for $25 on a weekly basis.

Payments will then be as outlined.

 27/04 - $25

04/05 - $25

11/05 - $25

18/05 - $25

Then you have your bill next bill date of 24/05. If your bill is $90, you’ve topped up $100. Your next auto top up date would be the day after, 25/05 - $25 again and so forth.

Regardless of what your auto top up arrangement is, IF there is an owing amount remaining on the bill date, for example, if your monthly bill is actually $120, but you’ve set it up as above ($25 on a weekly basis). On the 24/05 (bill date), the system will automatically request payment for the ‘total owing amount remaining’ (in this instance an extra $20) which wasn’t covered by your weekly payments you had made prior to the bill date.

Why don’t we allow auto top-ups on direct debit?

As soon as we try and take money on direct debit we have issues around weekends, public holidays and delays with the 2 day lead time.

Credit Cards and Debit Cards do not have this issue and can be processed immediately on any day. This keeps things a lot more simple.

What if I select the 31st?

On a month where there is no 29th, 30th or 31st we will process your Auto Top-Up on the last day of the month.

For example, an Auto Top Up on the 31st of Jan will go out on the 28th of Feb (29th on a leap year), the 31st of March, 30th of April etc.

What if my bill is due on the same day?

The amount owing on the account will always be taken on the billing day. Regardless of the amount of your Auto Top-Up.

For example, if an Auto Top-Up of $20 is due, but your bill is $50 – we will take the $50.

If an Auto Top-Up of $20 goes out on a Tuesday and your bill is $50 for Wednesday, we will take $30 on the Wednesday.
