Netcomm NF4V modem set up guide for VDSL service

Have a computer connected to the modem using an Ethernet cable as shown below

 

 

 

  

Next, open your browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari) and type in the address bar 192.168.20.1 then press “enter” on your keyboard.

 

 

 

A box will ask you to log in with Username and Password. Use the details below

 

Username: admin

Password:  admin

 

Once logged in follow the steps below on how to configure the modem.

 

 

  1. Click “Basic Setup”
  2. Select VDSL
  3. Click “ Next

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Select “PPP over Ethernet
  2. Click Next

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Select “with VLAN Tag 10”
  2. Click Next

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Enter the Internet Username and password provided by Flip. If not given, call us on 0800 604 357 option 3.

 

Example: User ID: 2011123@flip.co.nz

             Password: Flip12345                                               

 

  1. Finally, click “Next” then try to access a website to test for Internet access.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Use the “Advanced Setup” if the recommended process does Not work.

  1. By clicking “Advance setup” it will show a drop down list.

                               

 

 

 

  1. Click “WAN Service”

 

This field will show you the list of all the configurations saved in the modem.

  1. Tick all the “remove” box
  2. Then click the “remove” button. This will ensure that no other configurations is saved on the modem to avoid conflicts.
  3. Click “Add” so we can add a new VDSL configuration.

 

 

 

 

  1. Ensure that the “PTM” option is selected.
  2. Click “Next”

 

 

  1. Select “PPP over Ethernet”
  2. Then change the value of “802.1P Priority” to 0 and “802.1Q VLAN ID” to 10.
  3. Click “Next”

 

 

 

 

 

Enter the Internet Username and password provided by Flip.

Example: User ID: 2011123@flip.co.nz

Password: Flip12345

Note: Do Not make any changes for the other sections and continue pressing “Next” until you get to the “apply/save” button.  Finally, try to access a website to test for Internet access.
